Office of Student Affairs

The Office of Student Affairs

The F&M Student Affairs Division contributes to the foundation of an inclusive student-centered campus that embraces lifelong learning and continuous improvement. We provide services and programs that: promote good health and well-being, enhance student learning, and development diplomats. Through our work, we further the College's mission of graduating students who will live fulfilling lives and contribute meaningfully to their occupations, their communities, and their world. On this page, you can find information about Emergency and Conference funds, leave of absence, and records requests.

How Can We Help?

DipCares

DipCares is here to make sure students are aware of resources, that faculty and staff know how to help students who are experiencing distress, and that no student feels they are alone.

Leave of Absences

Students take a Leave of Absence from their studies at Franklin & Marshall College for many different reasons. These might include time away to pursue a personal, professional or volunteer opportunity, to recover from a health concern, or to assist in a family matter at home that requires the student’s attention.

Regardless of the reason, a student considering time away should speak with their House Dean as early as possible. Your House Dean handles all leaves and can provide advice on the best way to approach taking a leave. Your House Dean can also assist in connecting a student with resources that could be helpful during their time away from F&M.

Records Request

Students can request a copy of their disciplinary records from the Student Affairs Office.

Conference Travel Grants

There are funding opportunities available for students who are traveling to attend or present at a conference. All applications should be emailed to Michele Ortiz at mortiz1@fandm.edu.

Bias Reporting Form

Bias Reporting Form

F&M is committed to fostering a safe and welcoming campus community; in turn, it is the responsibility of each person within the Diplomat community to join in creating an environment in which others can thrive without fear, hate, or bias. All community members, including students, faculty, and staff, may use this online form to make the College aware of these incidents.

Please note, this form should not be used to report allegations of sexual misconduct. Those reports should be made using the Sexual Misconduct Reporting Form.
