Entrepreneurship

In the spirit of living up to Benjamin Franklin’s legacy of creating solutions in the service of the public good, Entrepreneurship at F&M is a program that offers exciting opportunities for all students to explore and develop entrepreneurial skills.

Courses

We offer two entrepreneurship courses designed to complement the academic experience of F&M students looking to understand and put into practice the entrepreneurial process. Our courses are geared toward the development of entrepreneurial skills and mindsets that magnify the liberal arts experience across all academic concentrations.

INT274: “Entrepreneurial Thinking”

Schedule: Fall

INT375: “Entrepreneurial Discovery”

Schedule: Spring

Certificate

Social Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurial studies builds a bridge between idea generation within academic settings and idea transfer to achieve sustainable, real-world impact regardless of students’ chosen career paths. Social Entrepreneurship leverages best practices in innovation, social change, and startups to “do well while doing good.” The certificate has a foundational set of courses, followed by two translational ones, and an applied capstone.
